PostSubject: Breeders advertising faulse pedigrees   Sat Nov 22, 2008 1:07 am

I was just surfing the net and came across a Dogue de Bordeaux breeder I hadn't seen before (Flenoury Kennel) and was taking a look when I noticed that their pedigrees they have posted aren't correct. I realized this because they have dogues listed that are in my pedigrees I knew at first glance they were wrong.
Check it out here's the site
http://www.freewebs.com/doguesrus/females.htm

On the dams side the 2 dogs listed as Agramer Bordog Saxa's sire and dam are wrong. It would be unusual for Saxa to not carry the kennel name of her dam or her sire's kennel as in this pedigree.
This is my pedigree that also has Argramer Bordog Saxa and her sire is Ch Sun-King Nick and her Dam is Agramer Bordog Thalia.

Tanakajd Szepe Belle is not correct either. This is her sire & dam (Multi CH Tanakajd Szépe Sion X Tanakajd Szépe Valeri)
This breeder Flenoury Kennel has listed Kimbo & Saxa as Belle's sire & Dam.
This is Belle's Breeder go to the females page & scroll down to see belle & who Tanakajd Szepe states as the sire & dam.

Unfortunately false pedigrees are fairly common which is why it is important for people to ask their breeder to see an official pedigree for the parents before they purchase a puppy. I heard of someone who purchased a black Neapolitan Mastiff puppy and the pedigree they were given for that puppy listed two blue dogs as the parents, which would be impossible. In the Neapolitan Mastiff, two blue dogs cannot produce a black puppy. In order to produce black, one parent must be black. So in that case, the pedigree was definitely a fake.

I think being truthful is extremely important when you are a breeder.
If I have reason to think someone isn't truthful & honest I won't have anything to do with that breeder, they make us all look bad.
